Tanya Saxena

Tanya has an academic background in mathematics, biotechnology and mathematics education with interest and experience in education. Her role in Talking Matters is to provide provide evidence and data analytic solutions linking strategy and delivery. She remains keen to make the best use of technology and software to optimize the data analysis process.

Tanya is currently doing a PhD from the department of mathematics, University of Auckland. Her research aims to identify potential factors impacting decline in students’ math achievement across Aotearoa using a secondary data set from large scale assessment. She enjoys delving into quantitative model development and interpreting them in a real-world context.

Otherwise, Tanya likes to explore new places, food, and loves to practice yoga/meditation.
